Call me Alex.

Based in North Carolina
Steven Blount, better known as Alex, is a creative director, filmmaker, photographer, media strategist, and entrepreneur whose work brings together visual production, organizational leadership, and digital communication.
His experience includes leading media departments, developing digital content strategies, directing live productions, and supporting organizational branding. Working alongside religious organizations, entrepreneurs, creative agencies, and independent professionals has taken him from intimate personal stories to large-scale productions and media initiatives.
As the founder and creative director of ProThrive, Alex has served more than 150 clients and contributed to content that has collectively reached millions of viewers across digital platforms. That experience informs how he approaches a project, balancing creative decisions with the planning and coordination needed to bring it to life.
Music, culture, and history shape his perspective as a storyteller. He believes the work begins with understanding the people and communities represented, and how they want their experiences to be remembered.
Alex’s vision is to grow ProThrive into a creative organization spanning filmmaking, commercial production, strategic consulting, and digital content development, built on strong work and lasting relationships.
